About
I am Deva Oksana, a Ukrainian creator living in Amsterdam. I studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kiev and successfully graduated from the Fotovakschool of Amsterdam.
I started working with colored glass and fell in love with the energy that light and glass can create in sculpture. I melt and shape my own glass and have developed my own technique, "Deva Oksana Glass". Each piece is a one-of-a-kind. No duplicates or replicas.
As a photographer, I was honored to create a photo exhibit to increase public awareness about the Female Genital Mutilation (FMG) Centre for a Visual Art Amsterdam in March 2018. My photography project "Phantom Pain" was chosen as a finalist for the "Keep an Eye" award in November 2019 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Victoria Verdy-Artist - Ukraine
Life is a moment between the past and the future. Something intangible, like a shooting star in the night sky. Man can choose whether it will be a bright flash or a dull light. As an artist, I feel happy that I have the opportunity to leave something behind. Something that is made with my hands and soul, something that contains my emotions, feelings and energy. All my creations are made with love, straight from my heart. If my art can give someone a little light or warmth, my life as an artist becomes meaningful and I feel the sparks of the shooting stars in my heart.
Art and the passion for creating have played a major role in my life since I was a child. The paintings with peonies in my grandmother's house, the beautiful Japanese ornamental tableware, the mosaic in the Moscow metro, everything amazed me and gave me a special touch of romance in my life. n the Soviet Union, where I was born on October 23, 1978, we had no opportunity to admire the masterpieces of famous artists. I could only learn all those works of great artists from my art history book, which I got from the art academy in Kiev. It was my great dream to one day admire that art with my own eyes. Years later, when I moved to the Netherlands, I was able to see “The Girl with the Pearl Earring” by Vermeer, the “Sunflowers” by Van Gogh and many others with my own eyes. I felt the power and energy that flowed from the canvases. And that was my breeding ground for my career as a creator. Besides being an artist, I am also an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry, an activist of the organization “Art 4 Mission” and above all I am a bon vivant. Life is too short to have depressive thoughts. The flame must blaze and keep burning. ......................................................
